I’ve had this experience a couple times at the Gong Chas in Korea and I’m not sure why (I’ve been to Korea many times at this point but it’s been a recent occurrence) - we came up to the cashier and were clearly waiting to order. The cashier refused to make eye contact and continued doing her task, ignoring us. When we asked nicely if we could order after a minute or two of waiting in silence, she said “wait a minute.” After making us wait, she finally took our order and got it wrong - we had both asked for GREEN milk tea, but she gave us both plain milk tea. Maybe she just misheard, fine, but ignoring us until she was ready to take our order was totally unprofessional. It’s not at all difficult to just say “hi, I’ll be with you in a minute!” Ignoring a customer and pretending they aren’t there is a really awful business practice and makes me want to stop going to Gong Cha, even though it is one of my favorite bubble tea shops. It seems other ppl had issues with the service, which I could understand. Since this is the only one after security check, I could see this store having a long line, although I was lucky to not have a long wait. Didn’t have any issues with my order either.
