금능이모네 — Restaurant in Jeju

After a sub standard abalone porridge, this popped up and expectations are naturally high, especially after a long drive from Seogwipo. And this did not disappoint. Started with a simple bowl of soup noodles that’s rich in natural flavors - top shell, seaweed, sesame etc and I would be happy with just that bowl. But eyes on the prize… what we came for was the abalone congee - and a luxurious bowl was served up soon enough. The natural sweetness of the abalone was finely balanced with the seaweed and sesame. I could do with a second bowl but alas it was all sold out. In fact, a couple pulled up after us and walked away...

Auntie’s abalone porridge and the spicy octopus porridge was delicious. However, there was very few pieces of abalone (slices) and octopus in the porridge. It was a bit warm inside the restaurant. If only the AC or the doors were opened, it would make eating the hot porridge more enjoyable.

We were looking for savoury breakfast and here we are chance upon this place. The bowl of abalone porridge and spicy octopus porridge were very delicious and tasty!! Even my 1year old loves the abalone porridge. Service is very good and the view of the sea from the restaurant is beautiful! Thanks for making us...
