섭섭이네 — Restaurant in Jeju

During my tour around Jeju Island, I sought a Korean restaurant that offered genuine local flavors without the typical tourist trap atmosphere. After hours of combing through reviews, I settled on 섭섭이네, located in a quiet community just a 15-minute drive inland from the beach.

The experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service was outstanding and remarkably well-organized, with dishes that were both expertly prepared and beautifully presented. It's no wonder many Koreans travel long distances to dine here.

섭섭이네 offers about 4-5 signature dishes, and I had the pleasure of trying three: the pork noodles, bibim noodles, and the one bite katsu set meal. Each dish was fantastic, but the pork noodles stood out as the best. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value.

The food is good and you can see the sincerity from the plating to the quality of the food. I love everything I had. I’m glad I chanced upon this restaurant and trust the review. While the food is awesome, the service is another level. I had a hard time getting a taxi and the lady goes all the way out despite a full house of customers. She tried to book for me. Though no taxi in that area, she try to call her own contact. Though I didn’t managed to get one, she kept apologising. She tried her best. This completes the food experience.
