Cafe Gyuldangri — Restaurant in Jeju

kid-friendly and everyone welcoming cafe * I wanted to mention this in the top of my review so that it can have the highlight it deserves. This place was welcoming people from every age group that there were something to do for everyone. I happen to visit as a party of 3 generations and it was a delightful visit for everyone, even my boys who get easily bored wanted to stay longer.

To be honest, my expectations were low when I entered this place, as there were only carrot cakes left in the cake section(! I’m not a carrot cake person) and the upper lounge was mentioned for kids to be not allowed. It turns out that it was more for safety precaution(kid were welcome to go upstairs with adult supervision) and my gosh the carrot cakes were the best cake I’ve had in years!! Its a moist cheese cake with nutty base and I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I want to come back just for the carrot cake itself! This place has amazing brunch food! We had eggs with burger meat, some potatoes, fresh salad with regional carrots and a freshly baked croissant. The service is kind and open to foreigners speaking English. The menu was in English and had illustrations of the dishes. Of course everything is tangerine and carrot themed, and it’s so very cute. All around their 3 floors there are spots to take pictures, they even let you borrow their tangerine headbands. The view of the sea is amazing on a sunny day. The second floor is a no kids zone, so can’t enjoy the “view”. It’s self service so you will need to bring your trays up to the floor you are sitting.
