R고기 in Jeju — Restaurant in Jeju

Chanced upon this place by google map surfing when we landed in jeju.

Went in with little expectation but I was mindblown by the food standards.

Was greeted by who seems to be the boss of the place.

He could speak english well so there was no difficulty for us to order the food, english menu is also provided as well.

We asked him for his recommendation and was suggested to try a combination of pork butt and pork cheek.

The pork butt especially was so soft and tender. I'd give this a 6 star if available

The service provided by the shop deserves a 5 star too as they are meticulous and walk you through on how you should enjoy the meat in steps. If you are around the vicinity for holiday.

My husband and I found this restaurant through a google search and are so glad we did! The owners instantly welcomed us in with excellent English and very friendly tips about the bbq experience. The food was absolutely incredible, hands down the best Korean bbq we’ve had in Korea. This the place to try Jeju black pork! All of the side dishes were so delicious as well, as were the cold noodles. They took care with each piece of meat, showing it to us before cooking and delivering it to us. They were extremely attentive and had great attention to detail. The restaurant itself was very clean and well decorated. Do not miss this delicious Jeju...

This is one of the most memorable food experiences I've had so far in South Korea.

Yes, the prices are a bit more expensive than other BBQ places, but this was justified by the high quality and flavourful pork with all the food being explained well by the very friendly staff. This is the most delicious pork I have ever had.

The banchan complemented the pork well, and the meals also came with delicious steamed egg and refreshing mandarin juice.

With lots of love from Australia, we will always reminisce about this top-notch BBQ pork...
