육대장 포항양덕점 — Restaurant in Pohang-si

Pros: Very friendly, choice of floor or table seating, quick service.

Yukaejung was 8000, Bossam for three was 30 thousand - reasonable serving size and quite tasty. Not as unctuous as some Bossam I've had, a little chewy, but nice large pieces with very little gristle. There is also a 10 thousand won serving of Bossam which we will try next time!

Ok side dishes, no lettuce, just stiff cabbage for wrapping. Good quality rice, sticky and flavourful. Brought non-spicy saeujot when asked, so willing to accommodate allergies.

Cons: The kalbi mandu were not a hit with any of us: a very sweet, sausagey, processed glob of meat in a sweaty steamed casing.

Apart from that, a pleasant meal at an open, kid-friendly, easy-to-find place. Will definitely come again!

물냉면은 무난한 편입니다. 다만 어린이 메뉴로 판매하는 설렁탕이 인상적이네요. 저렴한 가격이지만 어른이 먹어도 든든할 정도의 양입니다. 육개장 칼국수는 사골국물이 기본이 되어서, 깊은 맛이 느껴집니다. 설렁탕과 더불어 추천할 만한 메뉴입니다. 사골떡만두국은 이름처럼 사골국물이 기본으로 큰 만두가 4개가 들어가고 떡도 넉넉하게 들어갔네요. 다만 감자나 양파 등의 채소류가 들어가면서 깔끔한 사골국물을 텁텁하게 만드는 느낌입니다. 사골국물에 떡과 만두만 넣고 계란지단만 올라가는 편이 더 맛깔나지 않을까 합니다. (냉면은 바뀌었다는데, 동절기가 되어서 주문할 수 없었네요....
