Today I had the pleasure of dining at Nangbul restaurant in Jeju and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. The menu is a meat lover’s dream, offering a wide selection of perfectly smoked and grilled options. We opted for the assorted pork and assorted beef combo, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The meat was incredibly tender, with a perfect balance of smokiness and flavor. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in every dish. The sides were just as outstanding as the mains, they were plentiful and diverse, adding the perfect balance to the savory meats. I especially loved the kimchi and the pickled radish. The staff, despite the language barrier, were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve and grill. They were more than happy to make recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. Atrocious. No words can describe how bad this place is. Our team of 13 booked weeks before, and by the time we arrived, what do they tell us? "Sorry, we are out of meat" That was it. 9월 9일 점심 방문

흑우 특등심, 한우 안심, 육회, 차돌 & 된장찌개 주문함.

일단 음식값에 비해 음식 맛 없음.

처음에 안심 구워 주시는데, 정말 뜨억 소리가 남.

일단 스모킹 포인트도 아닌, 덜 달궈진 팬에 안심을 올리심. 고기는 잘 구워주시겠지 했는데, 한쪽 면이 구워지기도 전에 고기를 뒤집더니, 안심을 자르기 시작.

가위면 몰라도 칼로 안심을 작은 크기로 잘라주시는데 고기가 안익어서 칼로 써는데 썰리는게 아니라 짓이겨짐. 그좋은 안심이 쥐포처럼 찢겨나감.

그 후 고기가 이미 미디엄 레어인 상태에서 “고기 굽기는 어느정도로 해 드릴까요?” 라고 물어봄. 미디엄 레어라고 했더니 약 2-3분 더 굽더니 웰던으로 서빙함.

정말 놀라웠던건, 한우안심의 육즙은 증발되었고, 맛 이 없음. 맛없는게 진짜 그 고기의 특유 향, flavor 맛이 없음.

좋은고기를 이렇게 망쳐놓은 고기집은 처음봐서, 진짜 이런 부탁을 안하는데, 직원분께 직접 구워도 되냐고 여쭤봄.

그랬더니, 직원분이 갑자기 돌변하더니 “제가 구운 고기가 안맞으셨나요?” 이럼. 이 상황에서 솔직할 수도 없고, 그냥 내가 직접 구워먹는걸 좋아한다고함.

직원분이 이런적은 처음이라 사장님께 여쭤본다고 함. 물어보더니 와서 내가 구워도 된다함. 그냥 가는 줄 알았더니 갑자기 휙 돌아서서는 “이런 조리도구들도 구워보신 적이 있으신가요?” 하고 확인사살하고 감.

• 한마디로 직원은 빈정이 상했고 더 이상 응대 해 주기 싫었던거임.

내가 구운다고 말한뒤로, 직원이고 사장이고 계산하고 나가기 전까지 테이블에 단 한번도 안옴. 물 리필 등 그런거 전혀 안해주고, 우리 테이블은 깍두기 취급당함.

직원분 심정이 이해는 가지만, 한우 안심과 흑우 특등심이 죽어나는 꼴을 내돈주고 보고있을 수만은 없었음. 몇 만원도 아니고 20 넘게 쓰고 나왔는데…

전체적으로 고기 맛이 심심하고 맛이 없어서 그런지, 육회, 차돌박이등 사이드, 점심특선 메뉴의 맛이 엄청 강함. 육회킬러인 나, 지금 껏 육회 남긴적이 단 한번도 없었지만, 오늘은 남겼음. 된장찌개는 간이 안맞음. 맹물에 된장 풀어놓은 맛.

이 한우집은 맛과 질을 떠나서 일단 장사의 기본이 안되어있음. 처음에는 친절하다가, 컴플레인 비슷한거를 느끼는 순간 돌변함. 대우를 바라는 것도 아니고, 단순히 식사 후 음식 어떠셨냐고 물어보거나, 다음에 또 오라는 말등 하나 없고, 계산 틱틱 해 주고 우리가족 문 열고 나가는거 쳐다봄.

저분들도 우리가 식사 진짜 맛 없게하고 가는구나 아셨을거임.
