This place is seriously the definition of a "hidden gem!" Came across this place, hungry, after walking along the coastal road. We went inside and were pleasantly greeted by the owners, who spoke a bit of English. The interior is small, but very nicely decorated and cozy. There's plenty of outdoor seating available as well, if that's your cup of tea.
The menu is short, simple and very affordable. We got the octopus-seafood ramen (octopus, mussels, shrimp, and crab) and a shrimp-crab egg kimbap (pork was the other option). We also helped ourselves to some pickle and radish banchan. This ran us 14,000 won. Well worth the money, as we were both full after.
The rest of the menu consists of fried rice, assorted fried tampura seafood, and a set, where you get almost everything on the menu for 26,000 won. Coffee and beer is also available.
This place is literally like a place you would see Anything Bourdain go into (RIP). If you find yourself on your way back to Jeju City from Manjanggul Cave or Seongsan Ilchulbong do yourself a favor and stop in Gimnyeong for some...
