Black pork is famous in Jeju and this place does it really well! Was a little difficult to order but we managed it well with two servings of 5 layered pork 오겹살 (400g) at KRW17,000 each, and one serving of meat 주물럭 (200g) at KRW17,000. The waiter was patient and also helped us cook and cut the meat. The restaurant also provided complimentary soybean soup 된장국. I strongly recommend the pork belly. It's so rich and fatty that it felt like the meat was made ready today. The owner is so generous he'll give you pork skin for free.(and some tangerines for free as well) Pork skin was also a must try as it was much thicker than typical pork skin.
Overall, the black pig tastes very different from the typical samgyeopsal. I think it has to do with their diet, which makes them extra fatty.
On the down side, side dishes were mediocre at best. Bean paste soup was so bland that i stopped eating after a scoop. Also the meat smells different, which I found it to be someshat repelling.
Lastly this place is a franchise so you can find this place outside Jeju. So I'm not sure if i can wholeheartedly...
