Sooking Taco Bar — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

I lived in Central America, love Mexican food and recommend this place. Is it strange to find good tacos in Jeju? Not at all, think about it: the island has amazing meats, especially pork, seafood and vegetables. Wrap all these goodies in lightly toasted corn tortillas and you will get an amazing result. This gem is also right by the sea, so much so you would be distracted between the tasty food and the great view. Solid selections of Tequilas and wines to complete the picture 👍🏻 Enchiladas well made (not exactly traditional but flavoursome), however I would advise to focus on the tacos instead, they are just the ideal meal after a long walk by the beach. Pro tip: I find the beef tacos ("Asada") to be the best, followed by the (pulled) pork tacos ("carnitas"). I really wanted to eat here and actually drove for 50min from the Northern part of the island. We arrived at lunch, at 12.45pm. With a small child. Upon arrival the place looked more like a bar than a restaurant as there was one very long table and chairs placed towards the window with a long piece of tree more like a counter than a table. We were offered to sit together with another family with a small child. After placing a long order of food (6 items) including a coke for my husband, we were told that I must order a drink too or else they won’t serve us anything… policy of the restaurant. Of course, we had to leave. I do not consume alcohol and the other options were sodas - I also do not drink these. We had a wonderful evening at Sooking. The pin on google was at the incorrect location (wrong side of Four Graces Hotel) but we found it on a Korean app. The interior is small, but tastefully decorated. The owner greeted us warmly and tended to all the customers while cooking all evening. She spoke excellent English, which allowed us to ask about the dishes, wine etc. Food was of a high quality with authentic flavours. My margarita was so big I needed to lift it with two hands.
