I don't normally like to comment but I am almost fuming now with the attitude of the restaurant owner.
Food was OK, service of the waitress was OK too. But the service of the boss was rather rude. One of the abalone ramen we ordered didn't even serve with any abalone. She questioned that and asked her staff to all other pots to make sure there is no extra abalone in other pots which was absolutely fine. But could be dealt with a better way. She made me feel like we were trying to cheat her for extra abalones. They in the end served us the abalone but that took awhile, however while we were waiting, no one came to us to tell us whether they were going to give us the missing abalone until we asked.
I'd recommend you pay separately by a person from each table if you come in a big group and split in different tables. My sister tried to pay for 2 tables and she won't let her and she doesn't speak any English, where my sister doesn't understand Korean either. So that ended up with a big confusion as we didn't realise it wasn't fully paid. Overall her attitude wasn't good and I am certainly not happy with that. She definitely knows we don't speak any Korean and We can communicate no problem with her staff. So i don't get why she didn't even try to get the staff to pass on any message to us, instead she came to our table a few times and said something we didn't even understand then...

The highlight of the meal was definitely the grilled mackerel — it was absolutely massive and cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, with just the right amount of natural oiliness that makes mackerel so satisfying. It was one of the best I’ve had in Korea.
The banchan (side dishes) were generous and well-balanced, offering a nice mix of vegetables, pickles, and savory bites that complemented the main dish beautifully. Everything tasted fresh and made with care, like a comforting home-cooked meal.
The setting is humble and unpretentious, but very clean and welcoming. It feels like a peaceful local retreat where the focus is all on good food and warm service. You can tell the place is loved by regulars, and it’s easy to see why.
If you’re in Seongsan IIchulbong Turf Cone and craving a hearty, satisfying meal, don’t miss the grilled mackerel. It’s simple, delicious, and cooked with true Korean soul. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m...
Read moreDon't go here. The food at best...is mediocre. Kimchi tastes like it came from a convenience store and seaweed soup is literally water.
The service is super awkward - I ordered fish but for some reason rice doesn't come with it for one set I ordered. It would just be fish and rice would be extra.
When I asked why I was charged extra 1000 won for rice (because I just wanted some kind of explanations) ok you charge 1000 won for rice? I got it would be what I would say but...they just kept talking to me in what I think as Malaysian or in Chinese. The waitresses there will pretend they don't speak Korean and the owner is a bit weird too.
Sucks I had to go here because another place I wanted to go was just closed...it was an...
