After our morning walk at Seongsan Ilchulbong peak, we had breakfast at the halal-friendly Jeju Ttukbaegi, which was pretty good!
We had the seafood pancake, grilled mackerel, and bimbimbap, alongside a generous spread of banchan/side dishes. Everything was super good: the pancake was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and came loaded with a lot of tender octopus and chives. grilled mackerel was juicy, and didn't have a super fishy smell or aftertaste, which my mum loved as she usually doesn't eat fish. first bimbimbap of the trip, and it did not disappoint! Good mix of textures and flavours, with the option to add more gochujang if you want an extra spicy kick. side dishes were goooooood, especially loved the sweet anchovies and the fish cakes
They also sell a bunch of halal-friendly souvenirs - the Jjondeugi were pretty solid, especially when lightly grilled or air-fried, and torn length-wise along the grain.

Read moreVisited on a weekend morning and tried the seafood hot pot, braised hairtail, and grilled hairtail — every dish was absolutely delicious.
The seafood hot pot was full of fresh ingredients — abalone, crab, clams, and squid. The broth had a clean yet rich ocean flavor that kept me coming back for more.
The braised hairtail came in a generous portion with tender fish, potatoes, and radish perfectly soaked in the savory sauce. I couldn’t stop mixing the sauce with rice — it was that good.
The grilled hairtail was thick and meaty, not the thin kind you often get. Crispy on the outside, soft and juicy inside — one bite with rice felt like pure happiness.
Overall, one of the most satisfying meals I’ve had in Jeju. Even after returning to Seoul, I kept thinking about this place. If you’re near Seongsan Ilchulbong, don’t miss it — you won’t be...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience dining at this Muslim-friendly Korean restaurant in Jeju. It’s not always easy to find halal options when traveling, so I truly appreciated the effort the restaurant puts into ensuring the food is suitable for Muslim guests. The staff were friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable about halal requirements, which made us feel comfortable and welcomed.
The food was delicious and authentic, with rich flavors that showcased the best of Korean cuisine. I especially enjoyed the Grilled Mackerel and Abalone Soup and the portions were generous. The clean and cozy environment added to the overall pleasant experience.
