🌿 Mint Restaurant at Phoenix – unforgettable views and a refined dining experience
I’d been wanting to try this place for ages — finally booked it two weeks in advance for the first seating. If you park inside Phoenix, just tell the front desk you’re here for Mint, and they’ll arrange a shuttle cart to the restaurant. Such a fun start! 🙌
The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning. Our table was perfect, and everything felt so thoughtfully designed.
Mint is a course-only restaurant, and each dish was introduced with care and detailed explanation. We started with: • crispy gim-bugak • onion focaccia • baguette with beet and burrata cheese • tangy salad with delicious butter on the side ❣️
Then came the cream pasta topped with parmesan foam, with soft, tender octopus inside — the texture was amazing.
For dessert, we had coffee ice cream with your choice of Americano or canola flower tea. And yes… I really needed that coffee, and it totally hit the spot ☕ The tea was lovely too — fragrant and floral.
Also, the building itself? So elegant and unique. Mint Restaurant is not just a meal — it’s a...
Read moreDiscounting the heavy rain and gloomy weather, this place was indeed a top notch restaurant that serves quality food. Staff are able to communicate with us in English as well, which I believe it to be exceptional. However, 1 staff spoils the entire experience being all gloomy and slightly rude. But nonetheless, still worth the trip up.
Food: see pictures for beautiful balanced meals. The meat were all charred well, giving a great after taste in your mouth. Appetisers were mouth watering and refreshing! I am not a sweet person but my party of 3 says it is fantastic! It was cute as well that the mousse was shaped like the mountain across (which we couldn't see due to weather). Set lunch at 59,000 per person. Includes coffee or tea.
How to get there: this is very important!!! there is a shutter bus that comes by every 20mins from the Phoenix Hotel. We walked up the trail from the hotel's cafe, and took a shutter back down to our car parked at the hotel not sure if we can park at the restaurant itself but didn't see any private...
Read moreHad a very bad experience here, service was the worst of it all. Instead of ruining your holiday with the staff's unprofessionalism and attitude, just grab a coffee downstairs, enjoy the view, snap a couple of pictures then leave.
Basically, it's a very pretentious restaurant that relies on its location to charge a lot from the customers. Some food was alright, liked their burrata salad, but their ragu pasta was a nightmare. The bread was cold, hard, and stale. Portions are small.
Staff were gossiping instead of working. Staff gave me an eye roll when I asked the doneness of the steak (which looked overcooked). Staff had never thought of cleaning the plates and utensils unless someone asked (and they still forgot half of the dirty plates on the table). They gave nothing but attitude. To be fair, one of the staff who served the meals was nice. The rest? forget it.
You deserve a better experience....
