칸지고고 분당점 — Restaurant in Seongnam-si

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in Korea or anywhere for that matter. The service was even more atrocious than the food which we were more shocked about. The owner was extremely rude, telling us that there were no tables for 4 and that we would have to sit separately as 2 parties of 2. When we politely asked if we could push 2 tables together for the 4 of us, the manager came out and started SCREAMING that this was the restaurant’s policy and that we could follow the rules or go somewhere else. As we were all very hungry at that point, we decided to sit down with 2 of us at one table and 2 of us at another. Now for the food, we ordered the sweet and sour pork, but there wasn’t any meat in probably half of the breaded pieces! When we complained about this the manager came over again and asked why we were “making more problems”. I proceeded to show him the food and how there was no meat in the breading and he said something about that’s how they cook it and quickly walked away. The soup appetizer tasted like pure salt water and the egg rolls tasted like they were microwaved. I love Chineses food, and this one was pretty good. Price seems bit pricier then other local Chinese food, but considering the location of the restaurant it’s not too expensive. I’ve been here three times and every time I was here the servers was very friendly. This time the food took a little time since it was a Friday night. They apologized for the food being late so it was fine. Very hard to find parking around this area so I highly recommend not bringing a car unless it’s really necessary. 2021년 6월5일 즉 어제 점심시간 3명이 어울려 즐거운 점심을 기대하며 들어섰어요. 착석하고 주문하고 3인분 식사와 탕수육이나와 오랫만의 해후에 즐거운 식사가 시작 되어서 이야기에 팔려 서로 얼굴 쳐다보기에 바빴지요.한참 이야기 꽃을 피우면서 잘먹다가 좀 이상한것을 발견했지요. 야채가 거의 없기도 하구나 했지만 그냥 먹었는데....탕수육의 옷이 너무 두껍다는 생각이들었고 거의다 먹어가는데 이상한 생각이들었어요 탕수육이 대개 고기 길이 만큼길고 길어야 하는데 유난히 작은 떡 덩어리 같은 두툼한것들이 많았어요 하나 집어 먹는데 는데 고기가 없어요 찹쌀 덩어리에요. 그제사 잘보니까 길쭉한것엔 고기가 들어고 덩어리에는 고기가 없던지 눈꼽만큼 들었나 말았나 였어요. 사장님인지를 청해서 사실을 말했지요. 대뜸 기계로 않만들어서 그럴수도 있다고 하면서 거의다 먹고나서 그러냐고 처음부터 말하지 그랬냐고 핀잔을주더라구요. 먹다보니 이상해서 이제 서야 뭐가 이상한가 알았다고 하니까 다 먹고나서 어쩌구를 되풀이해서 많이 불쾌했어요.

더욱 놀라운것은 주문한 친구가 소고기 탕수육 3만5천원 짜리를 시켰는데...그래서 더 놀랐어요. 왜냐하면 우리가 탕수육 먹을때 탕수육 속의고기가 하얗게 익어 있었어요. 그럼 소고기 아니지요? 소고기는 익은 단면이 하얗지 않아요. 우리가 늘 돼지고기 탕수육 먹을때 고기 익은 단 면이 하얗다는것을 기억 하고 있으니 까요.
