Nature Kitchen — Restaurant in Seoul

Jayeonbyeolgok (Nature Kitchen) is a Korean food buffet and it’s my favorite buffet in Korea. I can have a variety of Korean foods, and the kimchi pancakes and pumpkin pancakes made on a large iron plate, as well as various desserts and drinks really satisfy my appetite 100%. There is also a very convenient system in place to clean up dishes, as you can press the bell on the table when you have finished eating and a robot will come straight to the table to pick up empty dishes. 평일 저녁 방문. 전국에 2군데 남은 자연별곡입니다.

저녁 7시 전인데 대기 없이 들어갔고 매장 내부도 한산합니다. 10 테이블 정도나 있었나? 예전의 자연별곡 느낌보다는 그냥 직장가 한식뷔페 느낌으로 봐도 이상할 게 없고

회전율이이 좋지 않으니 음식이 따뜻하지가 않습니다 특히 자연별곡의 상징과도 같은 보쌈은 딱딱하고 보온 상태임에도 굳고 식은 상태라 정말 별로.

가을 한정 메뉴라고 나오는 전어 구이 등도 전체적으로 별로였습니다. 더덕 구이는 그나마 괜찮은데, 새우 구이는 진짜 영...

그래도 이것저것 시도해서 먹어보면은 사실 이 가격에는 괜찮아 편인 것 같기는 한데, 앞으로가 걱정인 매장이 아닐까 합니다.

그래도 잠실 애슐리나 옆의 장지 빕스와는 다르게 위생 깨끗하고 친절합니다.

Weekday evening visit. This is one of only two Nature Kitchen (자연별곡) branches left in the country.

I visited a little before 7 p.m. and got in without waiting. The place was pretty quiet — maybe around ten tables were occupied. It no longer has that signature “Nature Kitchen” vibe; it just feels like a regular Korean buffet near an office district now.

Because the turnover rate isn’t great, the food isn’t warm. The bossam (boiled pork slices), which used to be the highlight of Nature Kitchen, was tough and cold despite being kept under a warmer — really disappointing.

Seasonal autumn menu items like grilled gizzard shad (jeoneo) were also underwhelming. The grilled deodeok (mountain root) was decent, but the grilled shrimp… not so much.

Still, if you sample a bit of everything, it’s not a terrible deal for the price — though I can’t help but feel worried about this branch’s future.
