Not really the type to complain about a restaurant but this was by far one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Staff did not care in the slightest bit whether we understood them or not. Our server seemed very annoyed when we were ordering. Our Korean is a little broken hence why we politely pointed out our food orders on the menu and she acted like she couldn’t understand until we said it in our broken Korean. Later on we felt extremely rushed to leave but then all of a sudden were told we can’t leave until a certain time. Only when it was too late did we realize that there was a shuttle bus that was provided. This wasn’t stated anywhere on the English naver app that they provided. We tried to clarify twice with the staff on why we had to leave yet despite our confusion no action was taken to resolve any misunderstanding. Not only that, but they also seemed so annoyed when we asked for clarification. We don’t expect anyone to go above and beyond at a regular restaurant, but for a “fine dining” experience where we’re are spending over $150 for two dishes that are average at best and cheap glasses of wine, i absolutely expect extra steps to be taken so your guests aren’t left visibly confused. The selling point on this restaurant was simply the...
Read moreExtremely average and grossly overpriced western style restaurant that only gets the fame thanks to the on-the-river view. Unimaginative and limited food menu is partially saved by a more complete wine offering but sadly filled with unimpressive wines. No sommelier, either - you’ll need to trust the waiters with choice. The food is just sad for the price, bland and boring. Live music was very likely university students, but not from a music academy - encore was the highlight of the performance. Paid almost 200 dollars for the dubious pleasure of this experience. The second star is only for the drive service - the designated driver took us to the nearest tube station, much appreciated given location a 20mjn walk to major road. All the hype is due to persistent instagram campaigning - and if pictures is what you’re after you’ll find what you want at Noct. Don’t bother for...
Read moreIf you're looking for overpriced wine, forgettable food, and a jazz experience that feels more like a high school band rehearsal, this riverside disaster has it all.
The wine list reads like a luxury catalog, but don't be fooled—you're paying top dollar for bottles you can find at your local grocery store.
As for the jazz, I’ve heard better music from a YouTube ad that wouldn't skip. The band lacked rhythm, energy, and, frankly, talent. It was less “smooth sax” and more “howling clarinet panic attack.”
And the service? Truly the cherry on top. We were ignored, then rushed, then forgotten again—like some kind of service rollercoaster from hell. Our server seemed annoyed by our presence and disappeared for 30 minutes after we asked for the check.
You’re better off bringing a bottle of wine to the actual river and listening to your own playlist....
