VEGAN IS NOT AT ALL VEGAN. Ssongthai have an English menu with many vegan options; we travelled 25 mins because of the perceived abundance of vegan Thai food. The staff member was unable to provide us any recommendations, so we selected a few options and made clear we needed the vegan option for all dishes (all the dishes selected stated they could be made vegan on the English menu and there were only two of us both vegan, no complexity). The salad came with seafood in it, which the team turned over and proceeded to serve it accompanied by vegetarian (but not vegan) biscuits. The rest of the order was takeaway & I was assured that all dishes would be vegan. When we got home we discovered the “vegan” green curry and the “vegan” fried rice again had seafood in it.
When we went to pay, we were also charged for two drinks we did not consume. I only picked this up after translating the check as it seemed more expensive than it should be. This was reversed and a new bill released, though shouldn’t have happened in the first place…. Overall a really disappointing experience.

Highly recommend anyone vegan, plant based or with allergies avoid- this kitchen is clearly not to be trusted. Foreigners who don’t want to get ripped off should...
