Been coming here quite often over the last few years, last time was early May and met by the young man who was great, service and food were fabulous......Called again last night a table of 6 and its reverted back to the old management and sorry not a patch on when the young man was in charge early May! Service was chaotic, no hot plates, no food warmers, starters came whilst we were still half way through first poppadom, very pushy on buying drinks, felt rushed and not same atmosphere! Food .... yes we ate it as we were all hungry, did we enjoy it no not at all, onion bhajiis dry and overcooked, Plain rice not pilau rice as 5 of us had menu del noche (previously under young man's management we had pilau rice), I had chicken tikka massala first piece of chicken tasted rotten, second piece was full of bone and sauce was wrong constitency like a spicy tomato soup, as agreed by our other friends, dessert was forgotten about even though it was on menu del noche we had to ask for it after waiter came with his ice cream menu, very disappointed with last night would we all return no and especially when we all have bad stomachs.
Shame but not same...
Read moreI rarely have Indian food when i am out of the UK, but we gave this a try, and so glad we did. The restaurant has a very nice decor, with cloth napkins and tablecloths. Service is very friendly, and helpful. Everything is reasonably priced, i would not say it is cheap, but the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the service and surroundings make it good value. For mains, I asked for a Chicken Chilli, with extra fresh chilli. When asking for this at similar establishments in the past...they just stick some extra chilli powder in the meal. Not so here. Plenty of fresh chilli in the meal, and a little dish with extra in, on the table. Nice touch. My wife had Chicken Khumb, which she said was very tasty, and quite mild. My meal was fiery hot and was delicious. Washed down with lots of cold beer, and a glass of wine, 2 chapatis and a shared starter, the total bill for 2 was a very reasonable 45 euros. Probably the best Indian food i have had outside of the UK...and it would push a lot of those close....
Read moreIt was worth the 300km round trip to go back to the Quality Indian restaurant and enjoy an afternoon at the beach in Águilas for my husband's birthday (he wanted to go back to this restaurant after we loved our previous visit to it).
From booking through to leaving, the lovely man who took the call and served us was great - he was charming, attentive and very helpful, as well as being proactive.
The food was excellent and the ambience very good with some really nice, different style Indian background music compared to what I've heard in other restaurants.
We felt comfortable with the measures in place for COVID-19. This was the first time we'd gone out for a meal like this since prior to the quarantine so it was a big decision to take. My sister had been recently and had said she was happy with the safety aspect which helped with our decision.
We very much look forward...
