I come to Álora on a regular basis and La Sede is simply THE BEST I have been to. Where to start really, the location is great in the corner of the main square Plaza Fuente Arriba with absolutely stunning views of Monte Hacho on the back terrace where you can see the sun set behind the mountains. Inside the decor is modern with an historical twist and exposed brickwork with a glass floor where underneath has the remains of where olive oil was manufactured many many years ago. The artisan food is delicious, excellent quality and is superb for snacking while sampling the beautiful wines, vermuts and coffees on offer. The staff could not be more attentive, so friendly and helpful and make the whole experience a welcoming one. I would say La Sede is my regular now and would highly recommend to visitors...

We sat in the table for a total of 25 minutes without service, first 15min without even a hello, while one staff concentrated on clearing tables, another moving chairs around and even sweeping the floor rather than taking an order.
We fetched the menu cards ourselves and finally got to order when the critical floor sweeping was done. Turns out that the dishes suggested on a blackboard are not available, so we got scammed with the bait and switch for 9€.
