La Barca de Arinaga — Restaurant in Agüimes

My partner and I always thought that Playa de Arinaga needed more restaurant options. The number of restaurants my family are willing to eat stands at a very short list of 4 (Helamore in all its loveliness doesn’t count as a restaurant). Naturally we were excited when La Barca opened its door this week. We tried to make reservations but no one answered their phone. We decided go anyway to wait for a table. We waited patiently for about an hour, half of it at the front of the no reservations queue. People started to leave, having finished their meal, we thought surely, it would be our turn soon. The front of house said nothing to us, the whole time we were there, she avoided eye contact as much as she could.
