I'm sorry to be the one to not agree with other reviews, but maybe it was just an unlucky night 🤷‍♀️ I'm confused about the nature of this place as I thought (from food pictures and prices) to be a bit more fancy, but the reality is that they serve "french" food at truly elevated prices in a terrace that looks like a an old pizzeria, next to a very loud pub (with karaoke), the atmosphere (for dinner) is quite cold and inhospitable, moreover to get to the terrace you have to walk through an empty space with chairs and tables gathered in corners. The service is not up to their prices, as there is only the owner who runs between tables without any sense, looking lost, sweaty, and overwhelmed. Food was not that great either as the pulpo was overcooked and chewy. My shrimps were very tasty, but overall, I had a heavy dish that couldn't finish. Once again, the main issue is that the prices are too high for what they offer, especially as you build expectations based on how they sell themselves.

A Culinary Experience Like No Other!! Truly Unforgettable 🙏🏽❤️ I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant yesterday, and I have to say: it was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had. And that’s saying something as I’ve traveled to many countries & visited countless restaurants, but this one truly stood out!! Every dish was a beautiful surprise, from the 100% Iberico on tomato toast, to the delicately marinated tuna tataki with a translucent soy sauce, all the way to the sea bream ceviche in an incredibly flavorful, vibrant sauce. What makes this place stand out is the harmony of influences in the kitchen. You can taste the multicultural spirit, with Japanese, South American, and Spanish-French roots blending into something truly unique. It’s not just cooking, it’s thoughtful creation, full of soul and depth. The service was impeccable & we truly felt at home, like being welcomed by a warm, caring family. Thank you for a beautiful evening! 🙏🏽🤗

We ate at this restaurant in Cala En Porter during 2024. Returned to Menorca for 2025 holiday and sought it out again, this time in Es Castell. The food, cooked by a brazilian chef and a japanese chef is a significant step above the standard Menorcan food in the vast majority of restaurants on the island. The cerviche starter was incredibly skilfull and so tasty, the equivalent of what we have eaten in Chile and Peru. Main courses of prawns, fillet steak, octopus and iberian pork were all stunning and full of flavour. The owner, Pierre, was extremely welcoming and very personable and made it an enjoyable evening. They are open until 15th October before closing for the winter. Then they will move location again in 2026 so we will be seeking them out once again. The food is stunning. Thoroughly recommend.

A Culinary Gem That Deserves Every Praise

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were welcomed with warmth and made to feel instantly special. With only a handful of tables, the atmosphere feels intimate and exclusive—you just know you’re in for something extraordinary. Our host, Pierre, set the tone for the evening, guiding us through the menu with passion whilst we enjoyed perfectly crafted cocktails before the main event.

The food was nothing short of exceptional. The sea bream ceviche was the standout starter of our holiday—vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavour. For mains, the bluefin tuna and octopus were simply on another level, each dish cooked to perfection and showcasing the best of refined Mediterranean cuisine. The carefully chosen Spanish wines elevated everything, adding layers of sophistication and elegance to the evening.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the experience itself. The service was warm, personal, and seamless—our host never stopped ensuring every moment felt unforgettable, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. Even the chefs took a moment to step out and share a quick, friendly hello, making us feel as though we were being welcomed into something special.

We ended the evening with a refreshing pineapple dessert and a decadent dark chocolate creation, paired with a smooth Spanish red that wrapped the night up beautifully.

This isn’t just dinner—it’s an occasion. A celebration of food, wine, and genuine kindness in an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and inviting. If you love fine dining and want a memory that lingers long after your holiday, this is the place you cannot miss. Go—you’ll...
