Baybrooks Restaurant — Restaurant in Algorfa

I visit this restaurant a couple of times each year when I visit my parents in Spain. Always found it to offer great food and service and up until now was very much a positive reviewer for Baybrooks. My most recent visit though really fell short. The food was ok but the value for money it offers is unbeatable as 3 courses on a Sunday roast lunch for 18 euros is very reasonable. However the food standard is dropping and that’s apparent for sure. I suspect (purely my opinion) costs have gone up perhaps so the restaurant is cutting back on quality ? I would happily pay 2/3 Euros more to maintain the quality so not sure why this is being allowed to happen ! Secondly it seems the ladies who work here are very over worked in the restaurant potentially. The way they deliver the service is still professional but it’s most definitely not with any enthusiasm and enjoyment. They are either rushing around and just look totally stressed out or simply slow and uninterested. In previous years they always appeared happy and it was clear that you could see they truly enjoyed there jobs and working here which added to a great ambiance, The negative atmosphere you sense is really evident when you visit here now which is such a shame and does negatively impact the whole experience. Finally the restaurant is not fulfilling the capacity as to get a table always requires a reservation some days in advance. However on this occasion they were not busy at all despite having tables noted as reserved. Again an internal issue perhaps ! I hope things do get back on track for the restaurant and management implement the needed changes to get this back to what was a great...

Absolutely amazing.. Went with 3 other friends.. Srarters of Pate, Chowder, Duck spring rolls, Salt and Pepper Squid, delicious..

Followed by Rump Steak, Crispy Belly Pork and Goulash.. All outstanding..

Desert of Cheesecake, Tiramasu, Brulee and Afargato... Also a cheeky cheese platter for good measure...

An absolute delight.. Our best meal.. Well done to front of house service and an outstanding dinner experience.. We would definitely recommend...

Tried to book this restaurant today for Tuesday,asked for the large window,as the view is spectacular,was told we cannot guarantee a table as a large party might book,then was told first come basis,sorry not good enough,who is the customer,you cannot run a business like that I gave plenty of notice and if they do not want my business they will not get it also we have lots of friends who we dine out with ,guess where they will...
