Restaurante Reinas — Restaurant in Alicante

Good location, right on the way to the beach! My husband and I stopped in here for lunch before going to the beach. They had tapas that came in half sizes which was perfect for us. We ordered the sardines, fried baby squid and some flat fried tortilla thing with shrimp. Service was kind and the older man and woman who took orders smiled. The sardines took a while to come out and so did the bill but everything else was great. Clean bathrooms and lots of outdoor covered seating space. Our bill for three small plates, half a liter of sangria, one water bottle, bread and aioli sauce...

We ordered seafood and a steak. The seafood was very greasy, salty, stale, and pre-prepared! The steak was just a few very small pieces of rib meat, tough and fatty. When we asked why, they said that instead of lamb steak, they use goat ribs! Overall, very bad! If you want to go to a restaurant in that area, go to los pacos. We tried it, and it was a very good restaurant with high quality and the same price. Don't trust too much to reviews in Spain! Ask local...

Hicimos una reserva por teléfono el día de antes, avisando de alergía al marisco, consultan y quedamos que nos servirían una paella de pollo y verduras. Llegamos a la hora acordada, volvimos a avisar de la alergía y empiezan los problemas. Nos dicen que si tiene marisco. Pedimos una hoja de reclamaciones, ya que si no llegamos a avisarles de nuevo, terminamos en urgencias, como poco. Sale la "cocinera", con unos aires chulescos, alzando el tono de voz y sin dejar hablar. Primero la culpa es nuestra, por no decirlo al reservar. Falso. Después es un error al decirlo (dudo que error se puede cometer al decir "alergia al marisco" que decimos a cada restaurante que vamos). Por último, nos dice que en su cocina hay contaminación cruzada y que si se lo que es. (todo esto a voces y en tono chulesco). Al final ni hoja de reclamaciones ni nada, ya que consideran que al no haber pedido, no somos clientes y nos tuvimos que ir a otro sitio, donde si hacian paellas de carne, y la base de la misma, tambien es de carne (que aunque no lo reconoció entiendo que será eso lo que realmente pasaba en este sitio). Mi consejo, ¡¡no piseis este "restaurante" y más si eres...
