The Menú Tábula at Tabula Rasa was a carefully curated gastronomic experience, seamlessly balancing creativity and tradition. Each course displayed precision, contrast, and harmony.
The opening Salmorejo with duck ham and grilled watermelon set the tone with a refreshing interplay of sweetness, salt, and acidity. The rock octopus with escalivada and almonds followed with depth and smokiness, the textures enhanced by the delicate crunch of nuts. The foie with eel and apple was an unexpected highlight – daring, luxurious, and beautifully executed.
Equally memorable, the baby squid with Americana sauce and ink offered an umami-rich intensity, while the rice with pork ribs and vegetables provided a comforting, soulful interlude that grounded the menu. To close, the citrus and meringue delivered the perfect balance of brightness and lightness, cleansing the palate with elegance.
Service was impeccable. Juan Pablo guided us through the experience with attentiveness and charm, suggesting a beautiful cava to start and a refined white wine to accompany the progression of flavors – both pairings elevated the dishes without overpowering them.
In sum, Tabula Rasa offers a dining experience that is both refined and memorable, where culinary creativity meets...
Read moreA fabulous meal. Juan-palou and Diana looked after us very well. We prebooked online and glad we did as the restaurant was fully booked. The set menu started with Salmorejo, Duck Ham & Quail Egg. Very flavoursome and enjoyable. The bread and olive oil very good. Next Spider Crab, Bread, Shrimp & Peach. My least favourite course because the crab was too strong for me. Loved the raw Shrimp and peach combo though. Cod Cheek, Brandade & Pil pil followed which was tasty. Dewlap Pork, Potato & Tomato not for everyone as its practically fat but I liked it. Roast Lamb, Parsnip & Barley beautiful lamb and sauce.. but the dish was missing the pearl barley.. Which would've made this dish better.. thought it was at the time but having looked at other photos of this main .. it was definitely missing. Catalan Cream, Hazelnuts & Sour Apple to end. Delicious. With bottle of €29 wine and Sparkling water. €122 for 2. Service was great and friendly. Each dish explained. Nice atmosphere and...
Read moreGREAT LOCAL EXPERIENCE! // If you are looking for quality Spanish food in a place where the locals go, this is it. We entered on a Sunday afternoon as the 2nd table but after a while all the tables except one were full.
We enjoyed a set menu of 6 courses with typical Spanish dishes for only €35. A real hidden gem if you ask me.
Service was amazing. A sweet couple who put their heart and soul into giving you a nice experience, despite being very busy and they keep running around without ever giving you the feeling they are in a rush and that's rare these days. The chef is co-owner which you can really tell if you look at your plate. His quality of food really shows the right quality in the courses you get.
Good to say that if you book, please show up. The table next to us was a no show which is really sad as these people work hard and offer prices that are related to the amount of tables. So once again if you book, please go and support this great restaurant! Would...
