It's an amazing town and a unique experience of Andalucía and Doñana. In 2018, we had lunch and drinks at Toruño with our kids, and it was fine.||This time, however, we returned for dinner with a friend — and unfortunately, it turned out to be an awful experience. We arrived late, around 21:30. The waiter at the entrance was anything but welcoming — almost hostile, in fact. We were not allowed to walk to the back (where a wedding party seemed to be finishing), nor were we allowed to choose our own table.||When we asked about wine, there was only one type of white available — no actual choice — and the waiter responded rudely. Asking about the fish options got an even more dismissive reply: just three kinds of fish, and asking again which ones was already too much for him. We ended up ordering meat instead, but even a simple request for extra sauce was met with visible impatience and more rudeness.||We started with gambas, expecting them grilled and warm — but they were cold and overly salted. That may have been a misunderstanding, but again, when we tried to clarify, we were met with curt replies. A female staff member interrupted us while we were still speaking and walked off to fetch the main waiter — once more, very rude.||Rather than let this ruin our evening and the start of our trip to Spain, we decided to pay and leave.||In our opinion, Toruño shows no understanding of hospitality or customer service. Sadly, it seems like the staff take no joy in their work — and we would not recommend going here.||Thankfully, we ended up at Cristina, where we had a simple but great dinner.
