Restaurante Sabina — Restaurant in Almuñécar

This was a stroke of serendipity, as the place opposite would not allow dogs, so we went across the road and their menu looked promising.

The staff were brilliant. Cheerful, helpful, attentive, and efficient.

Whilst the menu is a very traditional Spanish food you find on Spanish seaside resorts, the quality and service is far beyond ordinary.

Lovely lady explained their specials for the day, and went through every dish patiently and clearly.

They had Corvina on the list, which is the fish of choice for me, so I didn't to go look at anything else, and my wife chose seabass (with her usual no salt request).

Both fish were cooked to perfection, which is not an easy feast for Corvina. Probably the best I have had, and I fully recommend it if you have never tried it before.

For dessert my wife chose Apple Crumble, which is very unusual for Spanish restaurant as this is a traditional British desert. It was clearly homemade and delicious. Some British restaurants can tale a lesson or two from here. Chocolate Mouse was wow!!!.

Thoroughly enjoyable meal, which made our second visit to the town even more memorable. 10 out of 10 for everything. Will be eating there next time we...

I had the pleasure of dining at Sabina on the recommendation of my friend Ame… and it was truly an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers breathtaking sea views that create a relaxing and picturesque setting, perfect for a memorable meal.

The seafood options were outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I particularly enjoyed the grilled fish and the seafood platter, both of which showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality and freshness. The menu had a great variety, catering to all seafood lovers.

What made the experience even more special was the warm hospitality of Sabina, the owner. She was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable and satisfied throughout the meal. Her passion for her restaurant and her guests truly shines through.

The Sabina is my favorite restaurant in Almuñecar. I love good fish with light side dishes, and this is exactly what the Sabina specializes in. There is a menu with primarily typical dishes of the region of which all we tried so far was excellent. But there is also a daily choice of fish (Pescado del día) I can recommend. That there is no written menu for these is not a problem as Sabina seems to speak so many languages that most everybody will find one. All waiters were generally very professional and seemed to like working there. We had an excellent Covina for two with verduras as a plancha as a side dish, and the Puntillas, the Calamares a la Plancha, and the vegetation Pasta (type Spaghetti Carbonara with vegetables instead of ham) was good. One thing I also enjoy is the place itself. Right next to the beach, some wind is blowing through the shady tables that are not too close to each other. Bringing a wheelchair was not a problem.
