Szimple Café & Bar — Restaurant in Almuñécar

It's a really nice coffee spot in La Herradura - but the service leaves a lot to be desired !!!

They do have good coffee and really tasty food !!

However (!) there is especially one waitress who make the guests feel they're not really welcome at Szimple, making them leave earlier (or not sit down at all), by telling them e.g. they would close earlier (which was not the case) or going from table to table to tell people how many minutes they still have left there.

Apparently she is not really happy working there, but this doesn't justify such a behavior at all, which is not really customer - and service - oriented ! Sad !

There's a place in every town for clean cafe food. And this place tries harder than a priest delivering his first sermon ("he" would be catholic in these parts). The results are pretty good. It all looks the part, and blends competence, decent flavours and home made rustic charm. The coffee is the only Spanish experience here. In other words, stick to espresso. Id love a few Spanish dishes to round things out, and reflect the area...then I wouldn't feel as guilty for choosing a "clean Cafe experience ". But the place is super friendly, and worth a visit for your guilty global...

Beautiful food, beautiful atmosphere, just across from the beach. The place is not very big inside but large -ish outdoor seating. Coffees,frappes, home made lemonade, smoothies, 6 types of fresh cereal breakfasts such as yoghurt, oat ,chia, fruit, walnuts. Desserts including waffles. Sandwiches with yummy fillings such as avocado cream, salmon, feta, tomato chutney.... which to me are quite unique to find. lots of elements working together to make this place a real winner. Wish I could go daily!! Massive portions, very reasonably priced and very sweet staff....
