Club Bali Restaurant — Restaurant in Altea

All about the decor not the food. I went to the opening night with my daughter we sat in side the restaurant it was busy and the atmosphere was good. Staff had a a few issues with service but we put that down to first night nerves. Food was tasty and cocktail was delicious. Based on that experience I returned with friends for Sunday lunch and sat in the terrace. It was a disaster from beginning to end. No atmosphere on the terrace just smokers. Staff forgot we were there and we had to go in to remind them. Drinks took ages to arrive. The starter dish was not what we ordered, they did apologise and tried to replace it with a dish of shredded cabbage, rice and tomatoes which was odd. The main courses were over cook an inedible. We did mention this to the owner and he admitted some problems with kitchen and staff. I hope with a bit more staff training and kitchen/food prep training it will improve. It does have potential of being a good destination venue but €150 for the lunch was definitely not worth it on...

Friendly staff and nice decor, but thats about it. I was excited to try this new spot that just opened not too long ago. But because I was packing up my apartment to move, I ordered my food to pick up and eat at home. I ordered the Ketropak and the Lumpia. They have a nice professional photo of the Lumpia dish here in the photos you can see on Google but in reality it barely had any filling and looked like two tiny veggie spring rolls you might buy frozen. The ketropak dish was not good, it had some sort of watery liquid at the bottom of the dish and the green beans were a bit rubbery, like they had been overcooked or bought old. Also, the peanut sauce is a joke. That just did not taste right at all. I tried, but couldn't finish my food.

I would not reccomend going here. There are plenty of good restaurants in Altea, and even another, better, thai place in town. You are much better off...

One of the best lunch with my family this year so far! Celebrated our son’s birthday there. Although, wait time was a little too long but considering the 12 course menu we ordered and others, plus it’s a relatively newly opened restaurant i would say it is understandable. The food was worth the wait and the taste brought back good memories of my past trips to Indonesia. Interior and decor is nice and cozy. The view is awesome as we chose to sit at the terraza. The service and staff (and the owners too!) are wonderful, attentive, amiable and billingual! Need i say more?! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back with family and friends soon! Thank you and well done...
