Casa Ton — Restaurant in Andratx

We drove 30min to visit this restaurant because of all the great reviews and it was in an average 4.9*. It was quite a disappointment. The food is expensive. A glass of wine is 7€ and a bottle is 40€. There was live music during the lunch time, the atmosphere was nice. However We didn’t enjoy eating in this restaurant. The service is really bad. They are not not very attentive and somehow the waiter made you feel not welcomed. The order was missing. There was no Wi-Fi inside the restaurant. It seems this restaurant is aimed to serve the millionaires who live in the village and don’t bother to drive far for dinner. It is not a fine dining setting or service, however the price is. This place has to be the most unfriendly and unprofessional I’ve been to. We couldn’t even eat there. As soon as we entered the restaurant a guy in charged said “ if you are so going to eat then leave the restaurant because this is not a museum “ then an other guy with his wife comes right after us and he said the same thing to them! I was shocked 😮 Anyone who wants to eat at a restaurant wants to have a quick look around to get a vibe of the place especially if the place is not too visible from the outside and you are on holidays right?! Amazing food and fabulous service. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and it did not disappoint. Fish caught fresh the same day cooked by a talented chef - with the best glass of cava we had whilst in Mallorca. The owner is very passionate about the food they serve and takes time to describe how it’s cooked. It was lovely to hear him speak with such genuine passion and knowledge. The food itself was absolutely delicious, served simply with salad and potatoes. It’s not a big restaurant, about 6 or so tables inside and about the same on the street which means it lacks a little on the atmosphere , but both myself and my wife said we would visit again next time we holiday...
