Vent de Tramuntana — Restaurant in Andratx

Good bread served with olives and alioli. Needed more for a table of six. The patron took the orders from a small main menu and extensive list of specials that was difficult to remember. The food was very good. Scallops in half shell perfect, clams in good cooking juices. Good portion of lamb chops more rare than medium, large piece of serviola (similar to tuna) in delicious sauce, modest turbot, caught too young. Dover sole was outstanding and the best meunière I’ve tried in a long time. Wine prices a little high for what they were but reasonable house wine. The stinger was the additional 10% IVA. Great place, small interment restaurant inside and large outdoor seating area. Staff attentive and friendly. Small menu then offered all the specials verbally - obviously not mentioning prices think 90€ for a steak off the specials is a little expensive, they could charge what they wanted. I'm wondering now if that's the price for everyone or depending if they think they can get away with it. Despite feeling like we were over charged. Won't put me from going back, next time though I'll be asking the prices !!! Thankfully, we didn't go for the fish as well, as I'm sure they would have been seeing even more euro signs. AMAZING FOOD!!! AMAZING ATMOSFEER!!! AMAZING SERVICE!!! We didn’t wanted to leave a good review because we didn’t want to share this restaurant. But that would be unfair towards the owner and the whole staff, cause they work so hard to deliver the best quality of food, service and entourage. What a restaurant!! The garden too is so beautiful. It all fits together! Thank you Vent de Tramuntana for giving us the nicest experience on behave of food at the island Mallorca!
