El Perro Loco — Restaurant in Antigua

Really bad place! I went with my girlfriend who is Spanish and when we arrived we were speaking Spanish. Someone at the bar who didn’t speak more than two words of spanish tried to tell us that this was an English place (‘más inglés’) insinuating that we were not welcome. My girlfriend and I are fully fluent in English and told him that we were. He than realised that I was English and very awkwardly tried to retract what he had said. There were no pleasantries with the bar staff, as they completely ignored us. So much for English hospitality…

Rock and roll. El Perri Loco is a good place to listen to live music - somebody stopped next to it just because of that - also great to drink a beer, or have a pizza. The bar itself is quite cheap - or just call it fair priced, they have a huge beer and hard drink selection, and the owner was really nice to us. Not crowded place, but worth a check, if you like good beers and music. Ah yes I nearly forgot. The pizza was amazing next door, you can order and eat here also, so you don't have to find an another place in case...
