Chaplins Bar — Restaurant in Antigua

So today we arrived at 11.45 to order some food, 4 adults 3 kids we ordered big breaky 4 specials and one normally with kids pancakes also, ordered some drinks which didn't take long, we then had go wait 50 mins before the first 2 breakfasts come out, 2 of which was missing I waited an additional 10 mins to recieve mines I specifically asked for NO mushrooms or tomato (I got both) My friend and her son didn't even recieve there food after us repeating the order back to the waiter (who wasn't very fussed and argued to say we didn't order the extra breaky when we did) I recieved black toast which basically was left far to long which again I waited 10 mins to get replaced eggs overcooked hash brown solid and also scrambled eggs like rubber.

I understand places can be understaffed and workers have alot of pressure but I think this establishment needs to take some accountability and perhaps get new staff or at least staff who know how to cook a breakfast properly!

The meal was €36 euros in total which yes I refused to pay I paid €20

We've been here 4 times and 1st time was average didn't complain 2nd time was slightly better, 3rd time wasn't so good but due to us leaving tomorrow and for the inconvenience of taking kids to far for food we thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and a 4th attempt but yet again let down!

Arrived around 18.15 - waited for 15 mins for a server to arrive - but none came - so we went into the bar to enquire if they were doing food - the barman was pouring a drink and just waved his hand - luckily or not lucky as it turned out somebody said that they were - and pointed out a single page menu - after another 10 mins or so a server did arrive to see if we wanted anything - the order for drinks was taken first and arrived after another 10 minutes - we gave our order of Fish and chips - and Fish and salad - I asked the server for brown sauce ( sorry no brown sauce - or Tartar - or salad cream etc ) and some napkins as all that was placed on the table were knifes and forks - salt and cloudy type of vinegar ( at least it seemed to be like vinegar - the little that was in it ) the chips were lovely and crisp and the beans were nice and the Fish was lovely - but - my companion had salad - there was certainly a lot of salad - a slice of tomato - 2 rings of onion - and of course the Fish - were the price was reasonable and the food when it arrived was nice - if you have the time to spend and nothing else to do - it might suit you - but - from arriving and leaving it was one and a half Hours - will I be back - well yes in the hope that I can change this post - I was really disappointed in the experience and having to change...

I've given it 3 stars for food not for me I'd of give it 1 but others that I was dinning with they all said it was ok daughters pancakes were a little burnt toast cold and hard that sort of thing. But mine welll ordered a breakfast but asked for no beans due to allergy anyway they took it away came back 6-7 minutes later they had literally got another plate amd put all the food except the beam on to that plate all the food had bean juice on I then told them I would accept and could I have a fresh 1 10 minutes later another came out it literally tasted like they had run it under a tap then thrown it back in the pan for a warm feel loads of greece out the pan made me feel sick to be honest couldn't eat it. The service slow didn't apologise wait about 25 minutes for the bill went in to pay bloke behind counter was counting money waited a few mins told him I'd like to pay he literally did a fwer noise said I'm counting then went on to completely ignore us a queue at this point. would not return.
