Min 7 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Antigua

How this restaurant got 5* revues is beyond me, When we went in there was about 8 customers most sat round one table who had already ordered. The only waitress in there hardly greeted us give us the menu then without even asking if we wanted a drink disappeared for 20 minutes appearing only to serve the other table their meal and gone again. We were about to leave when she asked for our order. The starter prawn toast was so greasy that we both left half of it. Without asking if we were finished the starter or if there was anything wrong she plonked our main course on the table and whipped the starter away just asking one word "Finished' Tried to tell her starter was to greasy only for her to shrug her shoulders, Our main courses we had both ordered duck but prepared in different sauces both with egg fried rice. I have NEVER had rice where it was dripping cooking oil and then it was only Luke warm. The duck which is usually a Chinese speciality was also greasy and I think the duck had passed away of old age. Tender it was not. Although we both left half the meal telling the waitress it was the worst meal we have had she just shrugged her shoulders and still presented us with the full bill & no apology. My advice use the Indian next door their food and service...

We have lived in Caleta for close on 6 years, Min7 was our go to Chinese when it first opened. We visited last night with a friend, food as usual amazing but again let down by shocking service, nearly 1 hour between starter and main, it wasn't particularly busy when we went it but got busier, I could go on and on about it. As we said 2 years ago during our last visit the problem is staffing but to be told they couldn't find the right staff. In fact 2 lots of diners had left before getting their drinks and food and they were local residents. Another thing I noticed, the price on the menu does not include IGIC(VAT) 7% as its added on when you get the bill, this is totally illegal, beware. Min7 I won't be back, sorry just not a good...

What a lovely Chinese this is 😍, we had the meal for 2 …. 2 spring rolls crispy veg and pork(sweet chilli sauce) 4 bbq spare ribs which were soft and covered in crispy veg and sauce (meat fell off the bone) chicken curry (tasty sauce good meat and crunchy onions) , beef and black bean( crunchy onions, Carrots and peppers)with egg fried rice €26 absolute bargain(soft drinks were €3.20 for a glass but the food was great quality top authenticity and to top it off it’s in a restaurant with one of the best views you could imagine , all I wish is I tried it on our 1st night not our last 😞….....
