Our first visit probably our last... We attempted to book online with their whatsapp messaging, they responded with a Si when asked if there was a table, That was it! When we arrived, no table had been booked; I had to show the waitress the whatsapp message to prove we had booked! The tables are crammed together, there is little or no air conditioning, massive industrial fans in the foyer and one in the restaurant circulate air, a small air con unit above the door which couldn't cope as the staff leave the door open, 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted Drinks, a further 25 minutes before I order was taken. Staff wandering around like they didn't know what they were doing, they had obviously been allocated "Stations" and they did NOT deviate! One girl taking orders for a full restaurant, drinks and food. Tinto verano was €4.50 for a Glass, it's cheaper in Mojacar in a beach Chiringuito! The Starter was very nice, Simple Melon and Ham and a Cheesy Garlic Bread, but the pizza's were over seasoned, i've never tasted so much oregano! We didn't have desert as both my wife and I were starting to feel faint with the Heat and lack of air. Went to the bar to pay after 15 mins of waiting for someone to come over and ask if we wanted anything. Waitress didn't know which table we were from when asked for the Bill. Am i being overly ciritical, it was 6.30 on a Monday boiling hot outside and almost 50 covers? I don't think so! We may try a takeaway in the future and order it without oregano! €58 for 4 x tinto verano, 2 x Starters...
Read moreDuring our stay in Arboleas myself and my family visited D'luigis pizzeria three times. Twice for food and once (whilst passing) for a couple of drinks (the wife loves their mojitos). The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and conversed perfectly in English and Spanish. As an Italian restaurant the food they serve is to be expected - salads, pizzas, pasta etc and we tried the majority of what they had to offer. Not a single complaint from us, it was excellent, fresh, tasty and it seemed a tad strange that we were eating better Italian food in Espana than we did in Italy 😅 It's worth booking a table as they get really busy. They also offer a takeaway service. So if you want excellent italian food served by hardworking and passionate people who clearly enjoy what they do then this is the...
Read moreStumbled upon this lovely little place whilst out for a drive. And thought it looked nice, and well we went back on the night and we're not disappointed. We were greeted and seated straight away. Drink order was taken, fans adjusted to ensure we were comfortable. It was a busy evening with customers dining in and also people collecting takeaways.but this did not hinder the staff. The food was so fresh and full of flavour all the hot dishes were at the perfect temperature. And we're delicious. The staff were very tentative and really made us feel welcome, we would definitely...
