Bar El Mellizo — Restaurant in Ardales

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been. The senior waitress is not presentable at all and you can tell her nails are quite dirty which makes you uncomfortable especially because she is serving you food. The youngest waitress is totally lost and when you call she pretends not to see. The staff doesn't know the menu and when we asked for paella she didn't know if they have and eventually she handed over a menu. After choosing we asked for the price and she starts checking the menu and says she doesn't know and we have to insist we want to know before deciding. She tells us 12€ after speaking with a colleague and to my surprise when I pay the bill she tells me 15€ as it is the most natural thing not even apologising. I didn't agree to that price because it is quite overpriced for the quality of the product. You basically have to beg to be served otherwise, only the old men drinking beer after beer will get all the attention. Bar en el centro de Ardales, cercano a otros restaurantes. Con poco aparcamiento al ser la zona centro, pero en calles cercanas se puede aparcar sin problema. En cuanto al servicio, estupendo, tanto la camarera, como el camarero muy atentos y amables. Por otro lado, reseñar la rapidez de la comida. Pedí un par de cervezas artesanales para probarla y para mí gusto la caminito del rey estaba mejor que la bobastro, ambas con tonos afrutados y muy ricas, pero quizás con más cuerpo la primera citada. Es cierto, que no estaban lo frías que me hubieran gustado para disfrutarlas mejor, pero entiendo que con el día de calor que hizo venderían bastantes y quizás no repusieron con la anterioridad suficiente. Respecto a la comida, de los tres platos que pedimos el codillo fue, lo que estaba mejor, para mí gusto algo salado, pero muy jugoso y la guarnición que le acompañaba de patatas a lo pobre muy rica, el flamenquin, nada reseñable ni para bien ni para mal y respecto al otro plato, el pollo muy fino y jugoso. Finalmente pedimos dos refrescos, dos cafés, dos cervezas artesanales y otras dos cervezas 0'0, junto a estos tres platos y la cuenta ascendió a unos 50€ por lo que se come muy bien y en una muy buena...

Nice restaurant right in the center of town. Not a lot of parking options, but there are some additional spots on the streets behind the restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of locals.
