Restaurante ALTERNATIVA2.0 — Restaurant in Ardales

Absolutely one of the nicest places in this town. But I recommend that you ask about the prices for beverages before you order. We were charged 3.50€ for a small bottle of sparkling mineral water (unfortunately we had 5 bottles, so the total was pretty high). Basic coffee with milk 4€ per cup.

Prices on the price list are quite moderate with most pizzas under 10€, for example. French fries had a list price of 3€ for comparison (and it was charged correctly).

To me this smells like a tourist trap but of course the restaurant may have another explanation as to why these beverages are priced so highly, for being Spain.

{Edit: Beware that 0.33 litres of sparkling water is correctly priced at 3.50€ per bottle, which is outrageous or at least extremely steep (steeper than the climbs in this wonderful hillside town). The coffee price apparently is lower than we paid for, so some mistake there...

Este bar/restaurante ha sido todo un descubrimiento donde desayunar, comer y cenar rico y a buen precio.

Hice el Camino del Rey con mi familia y nos quedamos alojados en su apartamento.

En el desayuno elegimos tostada con aceite, otras de aceite y tomate más dos increíbles molletes que quitaban el sentio': 🫓lomo Sajonia con alioli, queso y tomate 🫓bacón completo con queso, huevo y tomate

☀️Al mediodía nos pusimos las botas a comer tapitas y platos de carta. Tengo que decir que la cocinera es una crack!!!

➡️Tapas: 🔸Manitas de cerdo, están de buenas para tirar cohetes 🔸Brocheta de gambas 🔸 Sorprendida con el burrito sabanero 🔸Muy bueno el rulo de queso con baicon 🔸Pitiflanes 🔸Huevo bechamel 🔸Muy buenos los calamares en salsa americana 🔸El bacalao ajoarriero me recordaba a los que hacía mi abuela 🔸Me conquistó la tosta de secreto No veas si estaba buena la ensalada templada que llevaba de todo!!!!!

Muy tierno y lleno de sabor el rabo de toro, hasta las patatas fritas estaban buenas, por cierto son caseras al igual que todos los platos.

Chupándome los dedos con el costillar de miel y mostaza que también se acompaña de patatas fritas. El costillar se deshacía de lo tierno que estaba.

Que locura el flamenquin con patatas. La verdad es que me lo esperaba más pequeño así que sorpreson al verlo. Por cierto, lleva pimienta lo que le da un toque picante

De postre porción de tarta muerte por chocolate 🤤

🌙De cena pizza, burger y patatas gratinadas con bacon, queso y salsa yogurt.

🍔Burger 2.0 muy buena de sabor y en su punto con carne de 200 gramos de buey, bacon, huevo, queso, lechuga, tomate y cebolla

🍕Las pizzas elegimos tres distintas todas ellas en masa fina y puedo asegurar que están bien buenas!!! 🔸La alternativa 2.0 con salsa pesto, mozzarella, tomate natural, albahaca y burrata 🔸 Serendipia con nata trufada, mozzarella, aguacate, cebolla, salmón y cheddar 🔸Rumiñaui con mozzarella, manzana, secreto, alioli, mojo picón, escamas de sal, rúcula y reducción de Pedro Ximénez, una brutalidad

De postre tarta de queso.

Sin duda sorprendida con tanta calidad y sabor....

Very nice place to sit and have a drink on the square, but food is very mediocre, so as long as your expectations are not high you’d be good. The selection is good, but the food is disappointing. Few items we tried were ok like ribs and scallops, but I cannot recommend swordfish, which was so dry that it tasted like a shoe sole or the Chef’s tapas selection, which unfortunately resembled a fry up takeaway and lacked in culinary skill or creativity. With regards to service, you get your typical Spanish treatment, slow and laidback. You are never asked if the food is ok or if you are enjoying it, perhaps it may be time to...
