First of all a serious warning: in three weeks of wining and dining in Spain this has been our WORST (!) restaurant experience by far. Some proof maybe? Here we go: @ Tenerife it is common use to be able to pick the fish you would like to have cooked. And to have exactly that particular fish served. We chose the sardinas & some nice cuts of moray (not the cheapest item on the menu!). We were initially told we could sit anywhere we chose...but alas...nót the table we would like to sit at, since this was "reserved" (a sign showing this was obviously nowhere to be found! Don't they even remotely like tourists?) After about ten minutes we were severly "surprised" with some moray garbage & leftovers (s. picture); NOT what we had hand picked at all. The sardinas were gross and tasteless. As were the "papas" (potatoes). Our recommendation? Avoid. This. Place. Like. The. Plague.

This was a hidden gem where the locals go. You eat the catch of the day. I have to say that the fish was delicious, we had so much to eat and it was value for money. I can’t even explain what kind of fish and shell fishes we had. I can tell you we had 7 different options and maybe even more. All I can say it’s a must go place if you are a lover of fish. The service was excellent. You get to choose your fish, and I believe this gets weighed. We selected what we wanted from the open ice fridge and they cooked straight away. I forgot to mention the grilled cheese, which had three selections of sauces, which were raspberry, fig and honey, I think. Which complemented the cheese. It was a Tuesday and around 14:00 or got really busy, which is a tell-tell sign that this place is excellent for lunch.

Joder said the waiter when saw our order of squid!! We like to eat fish but are not accustomed with the fish ordering practices in Spain. We were not sure whether to order a squid for each person or if one would be enough, confused as we were the staff convinced us to order a grilled squid each. When the grilled squid arrived the waiter was in awe…Joder he said!! We realised that it was too much and obviously paid for our nativity…a €118 for lunch. On top we were charged for potatoes we did not order and Padrón peppers we did not get. The verdict, not recommended…we got ripped off.

BEWARE! The worst seafood experience we’ve had in Tenerife, after two months here and many many restaurants tried. They SCAM you on the weighed fish prices, that are surprisingly high (as many other reviewers mentioned, you find out only when you see the bill) and on items that appear in your bill that you didn’t order (potatoes) and hidden “taxes”. The food was nearly inedible, the octopus was really badly cooked, squid was tasting really weird and just bad, scallops - the same. The potatoes were literally inedible, we were afraid to eat all of that food.

At €100 bill you can get a nice fine dining dinner here, all we’ve got was disappointment. AVOID this restaurant at all cost, and go to the restaurants next door for a much better and...
