Hoy Pinsa y Pasta — Restaurant in Arona

We found Hoy Pinsa Y Pasta kind of by chance as the place we were going to in the first place was closed and we had to google for a plan B. But what a pleasant surprise! We were so glad to end up at this place instead - two persons in our group of six have celiac disease and needed gluten free options, and the restaurant offered both gluten free pizza and pasta to our delight.

The service was great from the moment we got there, especially by Tenerife standards. Our waitress was super helpful, very friendly and got all of our orders right and delivered quickly. She also spoke Spanish, English and Italian, and that with a smile - not all too common among Tenerife waiters.

We also noticed that most of the clientele at the restaurant were Italian, which is a very good sign when you want real Italian food. We had pizza and various pasta courses, and they were all top notch - all six party members (two of them kids) gave a top score when asked how they perceived their meal.

Having worked in Rome for a year and being quite familiar with Italian cooking, this is as good as you can get it. I can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian food, and will definitely...

So delicious, so friendly, so GLUTEN FREE!

We ate here after my wife researched and found a there were a few gluten free options. The restaurant itself is very unassuming and quite cozy. The wait staff was exceedingly personable and friendly but never intrusive. Three in my family have celiac disease, and they were each pleased with their meal! One ordered GF fusili with bolognese, one ordered GF cheese and spinach ravioli (!) and one ordered the GF pizza. On top of that, the restaurant didn't upcharge for the GF ingredients!! Almost unheard of. We had travelled to Tenerife to celebrate a birthday, and our server surprised my wife at the end of the meal with a slice of gluten free cheesecake, even going so far as to show her the packaging with the GF label.

Even with all that, perhaps our favorite bit was the homemade spicy oil for the pizza! So, so good. (Especially on my non-GF pizza, ha!)

We loved everything about our experience here and will absolutely seek out Hoy Pinsa y Pasta when we return...

We went for a birthday/ Mother’s Day dinner and it did not disappoint. With mum being a coeliac it is hard to find somewhere the menu has enough options but they were fantastic. The gluten free pizza was almost better than the normal pizza offering! It made the gluten free individual for the first time in ages not feel singled out but included in the menu choices. They did also offer pasta gluten free. And hours later no upset! A successful dinner. And to top it off the waitress was fantastic. So knowledgable and great conversation. She was wonderful and we really enjoyed our night. Great place! And on top of all that- extremely well priced. The best value for money I’ve had...
