Isla Sol — Restaurant in Arona

Arrived on this place by chance.

There are two menus outside. One huge garish one which immediately put me off, but then another proper restaurant menu with much nicer items on it.

Linda had the chicken with mushroom gravy and rice. She liked it and loved the rice.

I tried the mango sauced chicken with vegetables and rice. It was lovely and hot, a touch too sweet for me but that is what mango does. The vegetables were lovely and crispy and again, the rice was very nice.

We are sat here not thinking whether to go back tonight or save it for tomorrow.

The sangria (1ltr) was ok. Lots of fresh fruit in it, but rather weak.

A nice experience and recommended.

To be honest, the food was really good. But unfortunately this restaurant is right in front of rubbish bins, which attracts a lot of flies. You have to guard your food all the time as the flies are so aggressive. They’ll even bite your legs. But it was The bad service finally stop me visiting there. The male waiter who acted absolutely rude. Often he just threw the menu at me and didn’t say anything. The attitude or vibe I received from him was ‘why you are here again!?’. I honestly really like their food. But this waiter just made it impossible for me to go. No matter how tasty the food is. If you get this kinda of treatment, the taste of the food doesn’t...

We went there yesterday for dinner, as we just arrived and were running all day to get us set up in Tenerife.

My mussels were okay, but by far not good (also, not what I ordered). After that I had fried sardines, and some fries, and that was were everything went south. I was all night up, not knowing if I had to puke or number two...

Unfortunately, 12 hours later I still don't know which way its going to go... Maybe my experience was only so sad, because I ordered of there meal deal menu, or maybe it's the overall state of kitchen and servers.
