What happened has been a truly sad experience, with almost violence triggering and racism words in the air. I will not comment on the food but on what happened when the bill come. In the bill, we noticed that the local tax was not applied to the menu price but added in the final bill. A friend complained with the waitress that it’s unfair practice as the customer can’t see the true price in the menu, and that he would not pay the tax. When we landed in the main room to pay, we found the waitress threatening us to call the police if we would have not paid. I assured here that no one did not wanna pay, only that my friend wanted to highlight was seemed a not nice practice to the customers. The, sadly, the lady owner seemed coming out from the kitchen saying to us that we should be ashamed to saying that they were not fair to customers and we did not wanna pay. Again, with the most gentle words i assured the lady that we were going to pay, and that a big communication misunderstanding was happening there. Tension arose even more when words were said about us being foreigners and trying to exploit them. Still, we tried to keep tones down but the lady was continuing to say to us that we should be ashamed. Things escalated when some locals customer jumped from their chairs and started ro scream to us with usual words of going back to our places, putting hands on our shoulders…we paid in a chaos and tension, where violence was avoided slightly and still xenophobic words running in the air… i can understand misunderstanding can happen but I truly can’t forget the words said and the threats. You can’t agree with someone, but you can’t arrive to almost cause a burst of violence nor transform an administrative topic with an attack to nationalities nor origins. A very, very, sad and...

Family owned and operated in quaint yet more modern but traditional setting. English menu is available... but is not much spoken here. Even with lack of English or Spanish on our part, service is still great and very hospitable... but for Foodies, you just Must try this secret gem!
We like to start with few montaditos (like bruschetta)... our favorites are roasted pork with avocado (yum!), anchovies (very good anchovies!), filet with caramelized onions (sold out few times), and abadejo (very popular white fish) Followed by grilled wild mushrooms, fried camembert cheese, dates wrapped in bacon, grilled white cheese with Mojo Verde sauce, prawns in such lovely garlic sauce (one of best on the island)... but their House Pulpo (octopus) or Pata (Roasted Pork) is a must try! Typically like to finish the meal with either Entrecote with Garlic (also in pieces which makes perfect for sharing) or a heavenly combination of Cod with sweet potatoes (comes in 3 pieces).
All our guests and friends love this little secret gem for their food, service, and value. We hope you did too!
Notes: We found that 6-8 dishes will satisfy our appetite with bottle of wine. Average price for above is about 25 Euros per person. Coffee drinks can take a bit of time as they are freshly brewed upon order. Parking may not be easy especially towards prime Spanish dinner time so arrive early as 6:30pm as restaurant does fill up by 9pm if not earlier on the weekends. Restrooms are between kitchen and the main dining area. It can get loud as more patrons fill the tables. They do accept...
