I'm sorry to put a poor review I was expecting better, we fancy pasta tonight so we thought we'd go to a pasta restaurant, unfortunately it really let us down my dish was ok It had a strange taste but it was okay, my wife chose a gnocchi dish we ask specifically no meat but it came with meat she found this out after a few mouth falls as it was very well hidden. To be fair once told they exchanged it however it did take another 15 to 20 minutes for the new dish to arrive, by then I had finished my food when her dish turned up it turned out to be overcooked gnocchi in a white sauce no flavor just like mush. Now by then you've had enough you could have complained again of course but sometimes you just want to get out of there so we actually just paid the bill and left. To summarize if you're going to run a pasta restaurant that has to be something you're super super good at no questions asked but on this occasion it let us down I always feel when reviewing anything you really allow other people a glimpse into your own experience but they actually have to make their own mind up for themselves so hopefully it was a one-off...
Read moreNice environment, decent service, and tasty chow, but portion sizes and price left a bad taste in my mouth. We stopped in for lunch on a whim, never having seen this place open before.
The menu was much more limited than their online version for some reason. The food was presented nicely enough, but the prices were quite high for lunch (€40 for two - water only)
A small breaded pork cutlet and a little pile of spaghetti bolognese for €17 seems extreme, €12 to €13 would have been a more appealing price point, and my wife's Ravioli alle Erbette in Salsa di Gorgonzola (€13.00) was good, but there were just five ravioli and the herbs were actually spinach, leaving her confused and hungry.
Decent, overpriced food probably will not bring us back anytime soon.

Read moreDisgusting. Service without a smile. Crockery dirty which was taken away and not replaced. Our spaghetti bolognaise was tasteless. Little meat, no garlic, oregano, carrot or celery. We asked for pepper and Parmesan. The pepper mill was empty. They couldn’t have cared less. Didn’t ask us once if we were ok. The male waiter was laughing and joking with his friends. We asked for a pudding. Only one available. A cheesecake which was a solid lump served with a few frozen berries on the side that you couldn’t eat. On exiting when we complained the male waiter just said you’re not a happy person. How dare he. What a disgusting, condescending, rude manor. This restaurant doesn’t deserve to survive. There are lots of lovely restaurants in Ayamente serving excellent food with lovely staff. Keep away...
