Top quality food, innovative flavours yet with a classic touch. I believe it is hard to find a place where you can eat as good as you do at Granja Elena, yet at a price. The quality of food might fit in a Michelin star restaurant, yet you would never say so when you get it: it rather resembles a basic bar or daily menu restaurant for workers in nearby areas. It is once you get the menu, with its high prices and the massive list of wines that you realize where you are. In any case, no doubt, you will enjoy every single choice you make, from starters, to seafood or meats. Awesome. My concern on the physical space is not only for the deco but also for the limited space available. They do also have a terrace, yet it is not interesting at all. Make sure to book inside and do the booking well in advance.
They are also well known for their breakfast -fulm blown-.

Granja Elena is awarded with 1 Sol Repsol (the equivalent of a Michelin Star in Spain) by its own merits. It blends Catalan and Basque cuisine, and Borja's creations are a mix of well-known dishes with his own touch, always respecting Spanish cuisine traditions. We ordered beef fore rib with teriyaki sauce and melted cheddar sandwich (with "pa de coca"), roast beef with onions and mustard sandwich, and a porchetta with scamorza and kalamata olives relish sandwich. Every dish is SUPERB! Every bite is a blessing to your palate. And we had a "chucho", it's like a fried croissant filled with custard cream. It's a real delicacy. I recommend their coffee. They have a very great...

The deep-fried pig head is a must-try—crispy, flavorful, and rich in texture. The steak tartare is equally impressive, perfectly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Another standout is the cecina with Idiazabal cheese, a beautiful balance of smoky, savory, and creamy goodness.
While the restaurant is small and often busy, the warm service and outstanding food make it well worth the visit. If you’re a foodie looking for a truly authentic Catalan dining experience, Granja Elena is not...
