Have you ever been to Vietnam 🇻🇳? I have. A couple of times. I loved it the first time, slightly less the second time. But what I loved both times was the food. Not only was it (almost) always good and tasty, but it was very cheap. 👏 This is the kind of place where you can really enjoy what you eat without having to think about what you can or cannot afford. 👍 But in Europe 🇪🇺, besides nems 🫔, phở 🍜 and bún bò it was hard to find typical Vietnamese food. Last year, for the 1️⃣st time, I found a place in France 🇫🇷 where I thought: this is just like Vietnam. And a couple of weeks ago, I visited Phở Việt in Barcelona, 🇪🇸. Honestly? If you had told me I was in Vietnam I would have believed it. the menu is full of dishes I had in Hanoi during my last visit: Bánh Xèo, gỏi cuốn, Chả giò (OK, that's quite common), etc. And they're just as good as what you can find there. 🤩 Of course prices are not the ones you can find in Vietnam... 🤷 But we ate a lot (too much! 😳) for €20. In Barcelona, nowadays, that's cheap... 👍 plus you save on plane ✈️ tickets and backhackes cause the chairs at Phở Việt are way more comfortable than the stool you usually sit on in Hanoi! 😅 The staff is nice and laid back and they're here to guide you if you're not an expert in Vietnamese food. They can even prepare your Bánh Xèo for you! So who's ready for a real Vietnamese experience in Barcelona?! 🙌

Read moreBy far the best Vietnamese food I've had since living in Vietnam for a couple years. I've missed the food every day since moving away seven years ago and was completely blown away by this place recently. I brought a group of friends for my birthday, including 6 people who have also lived in Vietnam and everyone said the same thing: best vietnamese food they'd had outside of Vietnam. The prices are low, the restaurant is nice and the guys that work there are incredibly nice - it really felt like going back to vietnam.
Everything I had was wonderful, and I've tasted most of the menu by now. For me the standouts are the pho, bun bo and pork ribs. But again, every single thing on the menu (itself beautifully illustrated) is incredibly good. I can't wait to go back, very soon I'm sure.

Read moreCame here with a big group and we all ordered together, I had the beef pho. The bowl was tasty and comforting, with fresh ingredients and tender beef. The broth, however, was a bit underwhelming for me; it was good but lacked the depth and richness I usually expect from pho.
What really stood out was how impressively the staff managed our large group. They kept everything organized, served quickly, and stayed kind and attentive the whole time. That level of service really made the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it an easy spot whether you’re coming with friends, a group, or just on your own. Overall, a solid place for pho in Barcelona, not the most complex broth, but definitely a welcoming and...
