Called ahead before going on a Friday night. They said there's a 20 min wait since there are two groups before us and they can seat us after them. Before we could give them a name, they hung up. When we went there, one of the two waiters checked her phone and said we're not on the list and we need to check with the other one. The other didn't come to us until 15 mins. We sat in a corner waiting, no one even came to take a beer order. Then the two groups before us were seated and we waited. Lady who spoke to us on the phone told us we would be seated next. Then the other woman seated someone else who arrived after us. And another and we were just left waiting and no one responded when we called them to ask what's going on. Just left. Ordered food from them on another occasion, it was the worst pad Thai I've had in my life. No flavour. Xianlongbao was good. EDIT: to the management - your response doesn't make much sense. Maybe read the review again. You shouldn't mislead people by telling them you can give them a table in 20 mins if in fact you can't. And if you're going to make someone wait for 1 hour instead and give tables to prior reservations, maybe you can tell them this. Being busy is not an excuse for terrible service and a lack of basic etiquette. Get your facts straight! It was ONE bottle of water a glass of beer. You had ZERO interest in attending to us - a foreigner and her blind friend. Of course...
Read moreThis is the best Thai food I’ve had in a while. We found this place through Google. The service and waiting staff (Christian) was great. He was very accommodating and kind, and even made food preparations special for one of our kids who is extremely averse to sauces— and they did it happily! And finally, THE FOOD. They started us out with Sweet Pork Bao. Amazing way to start! We tried Chicken Katsu and Secret Curry (with shrimp). This food was truly extraordinary. So delicious and flavorful, yet so simply executed. You can tell they take their cuisine very seriously. I cannot wait to come back for takeaway or eat in dinner many...
Read moreThe portions are big and the food feels cooked on the spot with fresh ingredients , but that’s about it. This is not an authentic thai place nor even a thai restaurant per se, and to compare it to a Michelin star restaurant like a recent review does is simply..crazy. This place is good if you fancy some uncomplicated , unfuzzy takeaway noodles or rice (you can choose thai, chinese,or japanese style) but it will not satisfy those true thai cravings, so I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to come here if that’s what you are looking for. I keep praying for some real asian food in Horta! The staff is nice and the...
