Never been, but decided to try it for my wife's birthday, totalling six of us.
We initially ordered drinks, and after a matter of minutes, the waiter came up to take our order, we had only been given two menus between 6 of us, so we asked for a little more time, he was back within 5 minutes, we again asked for more time and summoned another waiter for more menus. Eventually we chose.
With the drinks, we were served tapas, which we did not order, and assumed it was to accompany the drinks.
We had bread rolls on a side plate for each person and requested a ramakin of alioli.
There were 3 waiters, 2 young lads who were very helpful and an elderly chap, who seemed to be in charge, but never smiled and took very little notice of our requests, for ice or lemon slices in the tonic waters were ordered. It appeared that he didn't care for us much, being English, I may be mistaken, but he was very off hand and quite a miserable chap.
When the bill arrived, the prices were notably higher on the itemised bill, compared to the menu.
On checking, the bill for the items ordered, were exclusive of IVA (VAT) on the menu. There was no advice anywhere on the menu, that IVA was not included on the items ordered from the menu.
As stated, the meal was excellent and we expect to pay more as it is an up market restaurant, but the hidden costs, the older waiters attitude, put a dampener on our lunch out.
The two young waiters, were very helpful and cheerful.
So if dining here, don't take the menu prices as stated, expected to pay for tapas, which you never ordered and any condiments (alioli) to spread on your bread roll, expect to pay for. The IVA was added after, thus making the bill higher than we anticipated, not too fussed about the extra costs, just the way it was "slipped in"
The tapas (so we thought) was brought out, without us ordering and assuming it was with the drinks...this also had to be paid €9, the alioli for the bread rolls, was also...
