We stayed at the small boutique hotel and dined at the restaurant for five nights in early October. We travel from New York to the Mediterranean every October because the weather is wonderful ( pleasant 70’s f), the crowds are gone and the prices are lower. On this trip we mixed a 4* hotel in Barcelona, a 5* hotel in Mallorca and the Sa Tuna on the Costa Brava. ||Sa Tuna was our best experience by far because our expectations were not as high as for the others. The images on the website show clearly the small cove and beach where it is located. In October there are many fewer people and it is beautiful and serene, Nearby is the small town of Begur which we visited last year as well. The area is close to Girona which is a wonderful historic town to visit.||What made our stay special was 1) the wonderful staff in the hotel and restaurant supervised by Papita. They make you feel like family. The hotel only has a few rooms, each with a terrace facing the cove and the beach. The restaurant which draws people from the surrounding community of summer/weekend homes gets 5* in our opinion. Every Dish was exceptional as was the service. The prices are very reasonable (granted, as New Yorkers, we are a bit jaded when it comes to prices.) While every dish was delicious, we particularly loved the sea bass baked in salt ( very highly recommended), tuna tartare , the choice of paella dishes. There is a lot to choose from and the restaurant was always busy for dinner. 2) the location is serene and peaceful. It is so quiet - perfect for a relaxing stay. A full breakfast is included and it is wonderful! Despite its rustic appearance, the food and service is equal to that of a 5**.||The whole experience was wonderful and we will undoubtedly return.||VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!||Bob and Lyn Eisen ( New York City)||Your expectations should be very high for the restaurant for all of...

Read moreFirstly the location cannot be faulted, its perfect. Could not get any closer to the water if you tried. ||I booked last minute so limited on room options. Was a standard double. Small but cosy and had a balcony with a view (the sea). Bed was a little soft for me, but spacious and was fine. Pillows of a good enough standard with a couple of options. Bathroom small, but a rain shower and all the basics needed. ||This is a place where time in the room is not spent and what the room does offer is perfect for its purpose. Leave the luxury of a big city behind, it is the beach. ||Parking wise, always just used local parking and paid, not expensive at all. Around 10-Euros for an entire day. But park at night and leave the car all day, trying to get a place between 1000-Hours and 1800-Hours difficult. There is an application you can download for the parking, just scan the meters. ||Breakfast was superb, service was great, fresh products and a decent selection. Views are excellent right on the beach. Lunch was good as well, obviously go for their sea food as opposed to meats. ||Would...
