Our experience of Restaurant Es Furio was decidedly ‘meh’.
I had hoped to dine at the Hotel next door, however they didn’t have many non-seafood options for my fiancé, so we ate here.
We got there early and were fortunate enough to get a table right out front, with a nice prospect of the water. We received English menus with allergen advice, though the smiles from staff were on short supply.
I ordered the steamed mussels and green salad, whilst my other half had the local sausage. He also ordered Sangria.
Our meal was really very average, the salad came dressed with something out of a bottle and certainly didn’t merit its €8.50 price tag. The steamed mussels were just that - steamed mussels. No sauce, no seasoning, no nothing (no plate for shells or dipping bowl either). The sausage was akin to what you’d buy in the supermarket and the sangria was offensively sweet.
I also ordered a glass of rosé and received a glass of white.
The redeeming feature was the creme brûlée which was quite edible and arguably the highlight of the meal.
Given the opportunity I wouldn’t dine there again, though I may be persuaded to sit on their terrace and enjoy the view... maybe with a creme brûlée if I happened to be starving.
My suggestion would be to feed invest you...
Read moreVery unpleasant experience. The staff immediately seemed hostile towards non Spanish speakers. Once our orders were taken we waited 1 hour before being served a practically cold meal. We had arrived first yet everyone was served before us. Dessert was the redeeming factor though the crème catalan was not as good as it should be. The portions are very small for the price and the only reason we even had dessert was because everyone was still very hungry. The worst was to come when the two of us that had had the pasta were sick all night, throwing up. unfriendly and unprofessional staff, bad and ridiculously overpriced food and unpleasant atmosphere which is a shame because the...
Read moreVery unfriendly staff. From the beginning we asked whether it would be fine to just drink something, which seemed to be no problem at first. There were still a lot of free tables and we were seated at one of them, wanting to enjoy the ambience. However when our drinks arrived and we still not wanted to eat something, we were treated immensely disrespectful in front of the other guests, being loudly asked whether this behaviour would be normal in our country and portrayed as stupid. We left the place feeling absolutely unwelcome. Definitely not coming back neither to drink nor to eat anything and would not...
