Really great spot for informal but thoughtful food. We ate here twice last week on a short break. The pizzas on the first night were excellent (we were feeling lazy after a long drive down) - thin crust and not too large, with very good pepperoni. Second night we had salads, wonderful prawn dim sums and crazy good, smoky, chipotle pork tacos - out of this world. It's a good idea to book a table if you're passing in the day or having an apéro at the beach bar, as it gets busy as soon as it opens, given that tourists eat earlier than Spanish people. The owner/manager is extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the wine list is more than fairly priced and well chosen. If you are getting tired of overpriced paella or wallet busting 'catch of the days' - Racer de la Mar is a godsend - with both simple and wonderfully creative and fresh menus. And those tacos...insert Homer...

And there was the same tasteful tapas plates (the fried eggplant with feta cheese and honey or the "cristal" tomatoes bred or the calamars andalouse or the chicken wings...amazing!!!). I feel like the first tapas terrace is more casual, more daily food (not to mention that they close at 20h00 in the evening), while Recer de la Mar Restaurant is more for the evening and stays open until...

We tried the pez limón tiradito, spicy shrimp dim sum, sea shell, calamari and shrimp tagliatelle, tuna poke, and finished with a lemon pie for dessert. The standout dishes for me were the dim sum, tiradito, and the lemon pie. The poke was decent, while the tagliatelle was just okay—improved mussels could elevate it.
All in all, it was an enjoyable meal that cost €90, including four draft beers and a glass...
