We have followed, with great interest on a Place in the Sun, the hard work and fortunes of Karen and Phil and went to enjoy a beautifully cooked and presented Sunday Roast in the Arroya area of Benalmadena.

As it was our first time, Phil took the time out to explain how it all worked, as to avoid queues he calls each couple into the serving area which was really nice. You could even have another return for meat with unlimited veggies, all for under 10 Euros a bargain.

The food was excellent, we felt very welcome and the whole experience was top notch, power to their elbow!

We will return for sure.

Popped in to see Phil and Karen whilst on a short golfing holiday on the Costas. It was early afternoon so a quiet period but we had a couple of beers and a fantastic double cheeseburger and chips each. Best chips in Benalmadena if not the entire Costa Del Sol. Both Phil and Karen who left for their new life originate from near where we live, are nice people who are happy to have a chat when they get a minute or two spare; and they had their two friendly collies there the day we visited. I will certainly be paying them another visit next time I my friend's or my better half...
