I had the pleasure of visiting Parque de la Paloma while attending a special event, and I was blown away by the stunning set-up! The park was already impressive on its own, with its lush greenery, tranquil lakes, and diverse wildlife. However, the event added an extra touch of beauty with a special collection of flowers available for purchase.
It was truly incredible to see the vibrant colors and unique blooms on display, and it made the experience even more memorable. It was also a great opportunity to support local businesses and take home a piece of the park's natural beauty.
In addition to the special event, the park itself is a must-visit attraction in Benalmádena. From playgrounds and animal enclosures to walking trails and scenic viewpoints, there's something for everyone. The large population of peacocks and other exotic birds is a highlight of the park, and it's amazing to see them roam freely throughout the grounds.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Parque de la Paloma. Whether you're a nature lover, animal enthusiast, or simply looking for a beautiful place to relax and unwind, this park is sure to impress. And if you have the chance to attend a special event, don't miss it - the incredible set-up and special collection of flowers were a truly...

I loved the Japanese garden and watching the terrapins? Swimming or just sunbathing together, it was so relaxing. The trees are mostly labelled with details of their type and origin and there are trees from across the world. It's nice and shady and there are Mirador viewpoints around the garden. There is a circular type of maze with beautiful ceramic benches and fountains featuring frogs. There are large cages of owls and other birds dotted around the upper half of the gardens. There are lovely fountains too and it's all very photogenic. It is hilly and there are lots of slopes and some steps to negotiate. So not ideal for people who have walking difficulties. There is an exhibition about different types of milling, with working models and signs in Spanish. There is no cafe just a vending machine for cold drinks and snacks. There are toilets near the entrance. I spent a very nice two hours there and would...
Read moreRabbits, doves, parrots and chickens, loose in the garden. Did spot several cats as well. Goats and chickens in pens. Playgrounds, loads of shade. Big pond with fish, turtles and ducks. There is a spot close to one entrance where people were feeding doves and ducks. Seemed very popular to do. It is hilly but weelchair acessible and nice to take the stroller with you. There are both paved and gravel paths. There are statues that the kids can climb on and in. Playground for bigger kids in the middle, or so about. And then another one for smaller kids in one corner of the park. Its really nice. Lovely place to take some picknick and sit on a blanket and enjoy. Or play some ball with the kids. There is a small shop in the middle next to the bigger playground that does not take cards only bills that sells drinks and icecream and such. And other ones near the entrances. Lovely park....
